Looking Forward With Anticipation

April 16, 2026
By Tammy McIlvoy

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate the groundbreaking at 810 Brooks Street. This event marks a significant milestone in the history of Logos Prep; one that has been years in the making.

On Friday, we paused not simply to recognize the start of construction, but to reflect on the Lord’s faithfulness in guiding us to this moment. Throughout this journey, He has worked through many of you—through your prayers, generosity, and advocacy—to bring about the blessing of this land.

The vision for a permanent home for Logos Prep began even before we opened our doors, with early conversations involving Sienna Plantation Development about one day establishing our school in Sienna. In our early years, we found a home at SCBC and felt called to partner with like-minded churches for space. This eventually led to the expansion of our footprint with the K–2 campus at Faith Lutheran on Brooks Street. Sugar Land seemed to be our home.

From the first time we stepped onto the Faith Lutheran campus, we sensed a special connection to the property and began praying for God’s direction. That was more than a decade ago.

Over time, it became clear that ownership was not just a possibility for the future, but a necessity for long-term sustainability. We explored many parcels of land, some outside of Sugar Land, yet only by God’s providence did we find ourselves back on Brooks Street purchasing the very property we had prayed over for so many years.

Since Faith Lutheran first procured the property from the City of Sugar Land, it was evident that God has set this land apart as sacred space—a place for His Kingdom work.

Celebration is an important part of our faith. Taking time to reflect on God’s goodness strengthens us and reminds us of His faithfulness, especially in times when we need encouragement. It is right to pause, to celebrate what He has done, and to do so together in community.

There has been much to celebrate in recent weeks. On March 27, we hosted the most successful gala in the school’s history, raising enough funds to fulfill our entire wish list while also setting aside resources for future needs. As part of the evening, Bill Ingram lent his voice to a video honoring the school’s journey, a meaningful tribute for our LP families. Click here to watch the video.

Just days later, we celebrated the conclusion of the school’s first capital campaign, with more than $6 million raised to build our campus. The groundbreaking ceremony was a fitting way to close that chapter as we look ahead with anticipation to all that is still to come.

Thank you for celebrating with us and for being such an important part of this community.

10. Psalm 150:1–6
Praise the LORD!
Praise God in his sanctuary;
     praise him in his mighty heavens!
Praise him for his mighty deeds;
     praise him according to his excellent greatness!

Praise him with trumpet sound;
     praise him with lute and harp!
Praise him with tambourine and dance;
     praise him with strings and pipe!
Praise him with sounding cymbals;
     praise him with loud clashing cymbals!
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD!
Praise the LORD!
